Brian Dettmer, Book art, surgical tools, sculpture, Carving, Collage

Brian Dettmer uses knives and old books as his rather unique art supplies, and makes surgical three-dimensional collages of brilliant complexity.

The thumbnail image is his carving of “Gray’s Anatomy”. Seems like it would require extreme attention to detail and a high tolerance for tedium, slicing carefully through hundreds of pages to reveal a single word.

Scott Wade – Dust Art

dirty car art, dust art, scott wade

Very interesting stuff here, you may have seen already. Dust art from Scott Wade, who erodes his artwork into the dust layer on his minicooper’s rear window. Very talented, rendering even such classics as the “Mona Lisa” and “Girl With a Pearl Earring”.

Lots of great images in his gallery.
